The Brookfield Jazz Society (BJS) welcomes donations from individuals, organizations and business. This article explains a little bit about the different types of donations accepted and how to contribute.
Donations can be in the form anything such as books or media that is related to Jazz, items that can be raffled off as prizes or cash sometimes helps as well. Recognition for sponsorship can be at any level to include anonymous or promoted. All donations are managed via Marc either in person or by using the Contact Form (see below).
Anonymous donations are intended at such where a person provide one or more items for the BJS to utilize however they wish without being mentioned or recognized. The most popular level, promoted, is when an item received from a person or business is intended to be used during a live jazz event. In that case, the items are used during the Main Raffle while the person or business is promoted on the night for their donation as well as posted on the BJS Sponsorship page. In addition, the Sponsor is offered exclusive passes to live jazz event, which can be used any time within a year.
Donations that are specifically Jazz related (books, CDs, DVDs, etc.) may find their way home in the Jazz Reference Library. This library is an on-going collection of media that is available for BJS Members to use for either personal information or reference material to create a presentation.
Please note that if you are going to drop off a donation in person, then it is best to do so on Thursday and bring it to The Jazz Room (lower level).
