Welcome to the unofficial website for the Brookfield Jazz Society (BJS). We are here to answer the questions that you are afraid to ask and do our best to keep everything in perspective. The 2012 Field Trip
On Thursday, August 30th the Chicago Jazz Festival will kick off its celebration of Jazz in the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. The first performance for the 2012 Chicago Jazz Festival will be: "Exquisitely Ella: A Songbook Tribute to Ella Fitzgerald" featuring the Chicago Jazz Orchestra with strings and Chicago vocalists Dee Alexander, Frieda Lee, and Spider Saloff. The Brookfield Jazz Society is looking to plan another Field Trip to attend this event, however, we are doing things a little different this year.

Our next big event in the Cottage will be the Annual Holiday Party in December. For this event it will be BJS Members with attendance and Event Sponsors only with no exceptions.

BJS Trivia Facts
The BJS Active Membership started in November 2008. Anyone who attending at least 3 regular meetings was issued a Membership Card and Name Badge. As of May 10th, 2012 there are 122 Membership Cards issued.
The Big Announcement
The Brookfield Jazz Society recently announced that admittance to Annual Holiday Party in December will be available to BJS Members who attend at least three meetings piror to the event and Event Sponsors only with no exceptions.
